With data portal you can browse, view and download field data obtained in the framework of the Swiss Permafrost Monitoring Network PERMOS. Please note that this browser is still under construction and more observations, plots and options will be added continuously. Loading the data may take some time, please be patient.

The type of data measured includes surface and ground temperatures, meteo data, terrestrial geodetic surveys, and geoelectrical surveys measured at sites located in permafrost in the Swiss Alps. The data are obtained by the PERMOS Partner Institutions: The Universities of Fribourg, Lausanne and Zurich, ETH Zurich, WSL Institute for Snow and Avalanche Research, and SUPSI. PERMOS is finacially supported by MeteoSwiss in the framework of GCOS Switzerland, FOEN and SCNAT.

All data are subject to the PERMOS Data Policy. Please also check the latest PERMOS DOI for data reference.

DISCLAIMER: The data can be subject to errors and inaccuracies (such as gaps, measurement instabilities, thermistor drift, physical disturbances, changes in measurement setup) that have only partly been filtered out. We advice to perform data quality checks when using the data and to contact PERMOS at office@permos.ch as well as the principal investigator(s).
